The Yamaha R25 was launched in Indonesia with great fanfare on 20th May 2014. The latest product from Yamaha seems to have a huge fan base not only in Indonesia but also India. The official launch of the R25 was very much awaited by all enthusiasts to know the bike’s official specifications and price even though most of the important stuff was known before. The R25 has been developed with the motto of having a superbike that can be used everyday, making it very practical. While sales will commence in Indonesia in July, the Indian launch is expected to take place only by the end of this year.
Now, Yamaha has announced some information that is related to accessories and add-ons for the R25. Yamaha already offers a host of accessories for the younger R15. These accessories provide cosmetic as well as performance modifications and buyers are free to choose what they like. The R25 will also be offered with a similar accessories package. Most of the accessories will be similar to the R15 and the newly-launched R25 will get a couple of more things that will be exclusive to this bike only. Daytona ECU and full exhaust system are just some of the important parts that are included in the accessories package.
The add-ons pack for the Yamaha R25 will be made available to buyers in a couple of months. Once the bike is launched in India, even Indian buyers will get access to the package. The Yamaha R25 is powered by a 249cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, DOHC, 8-valve engine that produces 36 PS of power at 12,000 RPM and 22.1 Nm of torque at 10,000 RPM, mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike gets a diamond frame and its fuel tank capacity is 14-litres. ABS isn’t available even as an option on the R25. The motorcycle is available in three colour options – black-red, blue-white and red-white. Yamaha has priced the R25 at 53 million rupiah in Indonesia and that translates to around Rs. 2.7 lakhs in India.
