To make the Tenere 700 a “better” off-road bike, a motorcycle designer and a custom off-road motorcycle builder have teamed up to announce the Yamaha Tenere 700 Rally Racer.
The Yamaha Tenere 700 is already a pretty capable off-roader and even has a dedicated Rally Edition. So why the rally racer? You see, the rally racer was just a render by the talented digital artist Oberdan Bezzi until the folks from Gezzi Motorbike actually decided to bring it to reality.
The Tenere 700 rally racer boasts of many additional parts while the engine remains relatively stock. The frame and sub-frame get various alterations to provide the rally teams with the levels of adjustability they require.
Further, the suspension will also likely be of higher spec, again offering more adjustability and travel. Even the brakes are also likely to receive a makeover to provide better braking performance.
While the engine is likely to remain largely untouched, the renders suggest that the bike will get an Akrapovic can which will improve the performance. Also, the bike will get additional fuel tanks on the sides to gain some long-distance ability.
Lastly, the bodywork on the Yamaha Tenere 700 rally racer will probably be carbon fibre or kevlar for weight reduction purposes. And if Gezzi Motorbike throws some special old-school colour block graphics on the bodywork, the bike will surely look smoking hot!
