Yamaha will be competing in the 110cc commuter bike segment with its latest offering, the Saluto RX 110. The bike has been launched at a price of Rs. 46,400/-.
Yamaha has just launched a new offering in the commuter bike segment and it is the Saluto RX 110 which is a downsized version of the regular Saluto. The Saluto RX 110 has been launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 46,400/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). Yamaha earlier had the Crux in the entry-level commuter segment which was then discontinued. The Saluto RX 110 fills the gap that was left by the Crux.
The Yamaha Saluto RX 110 looks very similar to its 125cc counterpart. It comes with 10-spoke alloy wheels, digital instrument cluster and a start-stop button for the engine. The bike is powered by a 110cc single-cylinder engine producing 7.5 PS of power at 7000 RPM and 8.5 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. The Saluto RX 110 has a fuel tank capacity of 7.2-litres and the engine is mated to a 4-speed transmission.
The bike has a length of 2020 mm, width of 740 mm, height of 1045 mm and wheelbase of 1255 mm. The weight of the Saluto RX 110 is 98 kgs and it returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 82 km/l. The bike comes with coil spring shock absorbers at the front and rear while the front suspension has a telescopic fork and the rear suspension has a swingarm.
The new Saluto is offered in the following colours – Breezy Blue, Matte Black, Inspiring Red and Gleaming Black. The Yamaha Saluto RX 110 will be fighting it out with the Mahindra Centuro, Honda Dream Yuga, Honda Livo, TVS Star City+ and some other commuter bikes available in India.
