The Yamaha R15M has been spotted undisguised ahead of its launch
The Yamaha R15M has been spotted at a dealership as a consequence of the commencement of nationwide dealer dispatches.
On Wednesday, we saw the first images of the motorcycle, which revealed its front end styling. These recent images, on the other hand, put on full display the complete styling of the bike.
Although the R15M is based on the R15, Yamaha has ensured to restyle almost every panel to differentiate the 2 versions.
While to the onlooker, the R15M may not look any different to the R15, when looked up close, people will start picking up the details.
Of course, the most noticeable difference is with the front end styling, where the twin LED headlamps have been chucked in favour of a single LED unit.
Twin DRLs flank the main light and the flyscreen is a bit bigger as well. Also, the mirrors have been revised and the front fender is new.
The images of the recently spotted Yamaha R15M reveal the revised fairing of the motorcycle, along with the new shape of the fuel tank and reprofiled side panels.
What’s more, Yamaha has also changed the rear panels, and by doing so, has made the air vents larger, and the exhaust canister gets a silver-coloured heat shield too.
Sporting inverted front fork, gold-coloured brake calipers, and repositioned pillion footrests, the R15M will be available in at least 3 colour choices – Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP livery, Racing Blue and a White with Blue combination – that we know of.
Expected to be offered with Bluetooth-enabled smartphone connectivity and related features, including turn-by-turn navigation, the R15M will be powered by the same 155cc motor as the regular model.
That said, according to a leaked type approval certificate, the motorcycle will come with a maximum power output of 18.35 PS, 0.25 PS lesser than the R15 V3.
To be launched soon, the R15M will come with a higher asking price than the R15 which is priced between Rs. 1,56,600/- and Rs. 1,58,700/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
