Yamaha is now offering the R15 V3 with dual channel ABS for an additional cost of Rs. 10,000/-.
We had reported earlier that Yamaha is going to offer dual channel ABS on the R15 V3 and now the company has officially launched the dual channel variant of this bike. Priced at a premium of Rs. 10,000/- over the regular variant, the ABS variant makes a lot of sense for customers.
Single-channel ABS is cost effective but some companies are charging dual channel ABS money for single channel ABS. There is no two ways about it, dual channel ABS is more bang for the buck and of course offers the real safety net of ABS, unlike the single channel unit which only works on the front wheel and can’t prevent a rear wheel lock up.
The Yamaha R15 V3 also gets a new Darknight colour which is priced at a premium of Rs. 2000/- over the Racing Blue and Thunder Grey ABS variants. The R15 V3 is powered by a 155cc engine delivering 19.3 PS and 14.7 Nm. It has a wet weight of 142 kgs and a ground clearance of 170 mm. The ABS variant comes with an ABS badge too.
