The Yamaha R15 V2 has not received any mechanical changes while it gets three new colours namely Revving Blue, Sparky Green and Adrenaline Red.
The Yamaha R15 V2 has been a very successful bike in Indian as well as other Asian markets like Thailand, Indonesia, etc. However, it looks a bit dated now but not for too long, a third generation of the R15 was recently spied testing in Indonesia and is expected to hit the markets soon. For now, the Japanese manufacturer has given three new colours to the R15 V2 but the sad part is that the faired bike now costs Rs. 4252/- more.
Thus the starting price for the Yamaha R15 V2 has escalated to Rs. 1.18 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Yamaha had priced the R15 at Rs. 1.14 lakhs for some colours while other colours were priced at Rs. 1.17 lakhs earlier. Now there is only one price for all the colours while the R15-S is available with different colours at a different price.
The new colours for the Yamaha R15 V2 include Revving Blue, Sparky Green and Adrenaline Red. The Blue however looks similar to the previous GP edition which was launched last year as only the graphics on the fairing have changed a little while the entire body colour and all the other components remain unchanged.
The Sparky Green and Adrenaline Red have the same grey coloured body while the fairing and front mud guard are coloured in white on the Green bike and in red on the other bike. The graphics on both the bikes are the same with different colours. The Revving Blue was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The Yamaha R15 V2 is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, SOHC engine that produces 17 PS at 8500 RPM and 15 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM while mated on a 6-speed gearbox. The braking department consists of disc brakes on both the wheels while the bike is suspended by telescopic front forks and a monoshock unit at the rear.
