Apart from the new colours, the motorcycle remains the same mechanically for the Indonesian market.
Yamaha has launched three new colours of the 2019 YZF R15 V3.0 in the Indonesian market. The new colours are Racing Blue, Racing Yellow and Racing Black. The new model introduced is priced at IDR 3,576,0000 which coverts roughly to Rs. 1.75 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.
In Indonesia, the Yamaha R15 V3.0 looks similar to the Indian model, however, in Indonesia, the bike is offered with premium upside-down forks at the front while the Indian model gets conventional telescopic forks. However, the dual-channel ABS set up seen on the Indian spec motorcycle is missing from the one sold in Indonesia. The third-generation of the R15 was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. It comes with a slipper clutch, Variable-Valve Actuation (VVA) and a fully-digital instrument cluster. The motorcycle was also later updated with a dual-channel ABS set up, now offered as standard.
Powering the R15 V3.0 is a 155cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine with VVA which makes 19.3 PS of power at 10,000 RPM and 14.7 Nm of peak torque at 8500 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The variable valve actuation ensures that the engine power remains strong even when it is close to the redline. Yamaha is also offering different accessories for the R15 V3.0 like a tank pad, skid plate, mobile charger, frame slider, seat covers and a Daytona exhaust muffler which is meant for track use only. Currently, the R15 V3.0 is available in Thunder Grey, Racing Blue and Darknight colours in India and is priced at Rs. 1,41,680/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
