The asking price of the Yamaha MT-15 V2 is Rs. 10,000/- than the Version 1.0’s Monster Energy MotoGP edition’s cost
India Yamaha Motor has launched the MT-15 Version 2.0 (V2) at a starting price of Rs. 1,59,900/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) today. It comes with new paint options and componentry.
The MT-15 V2 is offered in colour choices such as Cyan Storm, Racing Blue (both of which are new), Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic Black. Design-wise, the bike stays the same as before.
The bi-functional LED headlight, LED position lamps and LED tail light are present on the 150cc naked bike, but new is the digital instrument cluster (LCD) that features smartphone connectivity (Y-Connect app) via Bluetooth.
For the price, Yamaha MT-15 V2 gets a new inverted front fork with 37 mm inner tubes, and also new is the aluminium swingarm that replaces the earlier box-section unit. The frame is Yamaha’s Delta Box structure.
Weighing 139 kg, the MT-15 V2 is powered by a liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-valve, 155cc fuel-injected motor with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system. It makes 18.4 PS at 10,000 RPM and 14.1 Nm at 7500 RPM.
The engine is teamed to a 6-speed gearbox that is paired to an assist and slipper clutch, while the stopping power comes through a 282 mm disc up front and 220 mm disc in the back with single-channel ABS assist.
