The asking price of the Yamaha MT-15 MotoGP edition is Rs. 3000/- more than the cost of the base models
India Yamaha Motor has launched the MT-15 MotoGP Edition with a price tag of Rs. 1,47,900/- (ex-showroom, Delhi), today.
The MT-15 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP edition (to give its full name) comes at a premium of Rs. 3000/- over the base Dark Matt Blue and Metallic Black models.
This new edition is completely painted in black and features the Japanese firm’s MotoGP branding on the fuel tank, tank shrouds, and side panels.
Apart from the paint scheme, nothing has changed on the bike. It continues to sport an LED headlight, LED tail lamp, LCD instrument cluster, and like every Yamaha model, a side-stand engine cut-off system.
Power comes from a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine which makes a maximum of 18.5 PS at 10,000 RPM and a peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 8500 RPM. The motor is teamed to a 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch.
The popular naked motorcycle tips the scale at 138 kg, rides on 100-section front tyre and 140-section rear rubber, while a 282 mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc (single channel ABS) provide the stopping power.
