Yamaha launched the MT-09 Roadster Motard amidst much fanfare at the 2016 Auto Expo; the flagship MT series bike is priced at INR 10,20,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The “WE ARE YOUNG”, pavilion of Yamaha India at the Auto Expo had what they call in their language, “Refined Dynamism”. The reason for an increased excitement at their pavilion was the Yamaha MT-09’s launch. B-town’s heartthrob John Abraham was present to unveil the beast which looked every possible way a MT series motorcycle could look. The MT-09 priced at Rs. 10,20,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) will be available through selected dealers across the country.
The MT-09 which is all set to compete against its Japanese, Italian and British rivals is set to hold its own with a potent 847cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, tripot engine (in-line triple-cylinder). The engine produces 115 BHP of power and 88 Nm of torque. Yamaha will be getting the MT-09 as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and with two colour options of Race Blue and Matte Grey.
