Yamaha India seems to be on a roll. First with the Yamaha R15, followed by the Yamaha FZ16 and then the Yamaha FZS. But Yamaha hasn’t stopped yet. They are testing the Fazer 150 for the Indian market and the 150cc segment sure is heating up. Bajaj has been affected by Yamaha’s 150cc attack and soon TVS will cause a bigger menace for Bajaj with the TVS Apache RTR 180. With so many bikes to be launched in the near future, Indian bike enthusiasts have a reason to rejoice, finally.
The Fazer 150 will have a front fairing and is based on the Yamaha FZ16. It looks like a toned down version of the 1000cc Fazer, which is sold in the international markets. Pricing is expected to be similar to the FZ16 and the bike is expected to carry the same engine, maybe with different tuning. Yamaha seems to have beaten Bajaj at their own game of launching thousand of bikes on the same platform. Talk about giving a taste of their own medicine.
