Yamaha FZ V3 was spotted testing and is most likely to hit the streets in early 2019.
Motorbeam reader Raman Negi spotted the Yamaha FZ V3 being tested on the roads. The motorcycle is seen wearing camouflage but it clearly hints towards the possible upgrades over the FZ V2.
The Yamaha FZ V3 is seen in a new design with a little influence from the FZ V2 and the FZ25. The front-end of the bike looks similar to the FZ25 with a new console, tank design and tank shrouds. The handlebar positioning and the headlight area also look inspired from the elder sibling. The rear-end of the motorcycles takes its design elements from the current version of the bike. Although, the third generation FZ now has a new tyre hugger and exhaust cover.
The engine bay of this test mule looks the same as on the existing generation FZ and that makes us believe that this will be more of a facelift for the bike with similar or minor performance upgrades. The bike in picture also has dual discs for the brakes with ABS to be offered as standard, albeit single-channel.
A few remarkable design elements are the new tank that seems to be sculpted in a more flowy manner, paired with the tank shrouds and the changed handlebar positioning that will promote a more straight-up riding position. The Yamaha FZ V3 might also get LED headlamps. Yamaha has been sharing parts in-between bikes and that might also be the case with this motorcycle, with the parts being shared with the previous generations.
The current generation FZ runs on a 149cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 13.2 PS of power and 12.8 Nm of torque. Owing to the engine bay being the same, the performance figures on the FZ V3 may be in the same ballpark. Comparing this motorcycle to the current generation FZ- the weight is expected to be somewhere around 135 kgs.
