Yamaha Fazer 250 production to commence this August, to be launched by this October.
Yamaha’s 250cc sports-tourer, the Fazer 250 is all set to go into production by this August and get ready to see it hit the roads by this October 2017. The motorcycle has been spotted testing multiple times.
Quintessentially a full-faired version of the existing FZ25, the Fazer 250 will come powered by a 249cc single-cylinder engine capable of producing a 20.9 HP and 20 Nm of torque. Sending power to the rear wheels is via a 5-speed gearbox.
Suspension duties are via 41 mm standard telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload. The motorcycle features a 282 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc that takes care of braking duties.
ABS might see a miss even on the Fazer 250, however, we expect Yamaha to offer it, considering the motorcycle (Bajaj Pulsar RS 200) it’s pitted against comes with single-channel ABS as an option. As far as pricing goes, expect the Yamaha Fazer 250 to sell at a premium of Rs. 10,000-20,000/- over the FZ25.
