Yamaha Fazer 250 will be the semi-faired version of the FZ25 and is likely to get ABS.
Yamaha launched the FZ25 this February and the bike has got some good reviews and has been appreciated by automobile enthusiasts since. Now Yamaha has decided to bring in a semi-faired FZ25 and name it the Fazer 250. The Fazer 250 is expected in India by the end of the year.
In terms of styling, the Fazer 250 will sport an extra semi-fairing and that’s it. Rest of the motorcycle will bear resemblance to the FZ25, be it the all digital instrument cluster, telescopic front forks, twin disc brake setup and a monoshock at the rear.
Powering the Fazer 250 will be the same FZ25’s 249cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 20.6 HP of power and 20 Nm of torque. This motor comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. Yamaha does not offer ABS on the FZ25, but it is likely to give it on the Fazer 250, courtesy the upcoming legislations set to make ABS mandatory.
