Yamaha has launched the Fazer 25 in India, priced at Rs. 1.28 lakhs.
The Yamaha Fazer 25 has been launched in India and is priced at Rs. 1.28 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Fazer 25 is based on its street-fighter sibling, the FZ25 and is priced at a premium of approximately Rs. 10,000/- over the naked version.
The Fazer 25 draws power from a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil- and air-cooled motor with fuel injection churning out 20.6 HP of power and 20 Nm of torque. This motor comes matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The fuel-tank capacity is 14-litres.
The Yamaha Fazer 25 is suspended via 44 mm telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. A 282 mm disc brake at the front and a 220 mm disc brake at the rear do the job of bringing the Fazer 25 to a halt. The Fazer 25 is shod with 17-inch wheels wrapped in a 100 section tyre up front and a 140 section tyre at the rear.
The distinguishing factor between the FZ25 and the Fazer 25 is the full-fairing. However, the Fazer 25 features the same tri-LED headlamp from the FZ25. Other features on the Yamaha Fazer 25 include MT inspired alloy wheels, LED DRL strips on either side of the headlamp, backlit switches, LCD instrument cluster and backward set foot pegs for a sportier riding position.
The Fazer 25 is offered in a choice of colours like Black with Blue and Red with Gold. This sports tourer competes with the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200.
