Yamaha has launched a new edition of the Fascino scooter, called the Darknight.
The Darknight edition of the Yamaha scooter comes with a new all-black colour scheme that takes visual cues from the R15 V3.0 Darknight edition launched earlier by the company. The update is not only limited to cosmetic changes but also features a Unified Braking System (UBS) that complies with the upcoming government mandated safety norms. Along with the UBS system, the manufacturer is also offering a maintenance-free battery.
The scooter comes priced at Rs. 56,793/- (ex-showroom, India). The Yamaha Fascino comes with a 113cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 7 BHP and 8.1 Nm of torque. It gets drum brakes on both ends and tubeless tyres. The kerb weight of the Fascino is 103 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 5.2 litres. The claimed fuel efficiency figure is 66 km/l.
According to the bike maker, the Fascino scooter is not the only product that will feature the Darknight theme and has hinted at the possibility that other two-wheelers in the line-up may soon feature similar styling. The Japanese bike maker plans to introduce sporty and stylish products in the Indian market. The Fascino and R15 V3.0 Darknight editions are an example of what the company plans to deliver to its customers.
