The asking price of the Yamaha Aerox 155 Monster Energy MotoGP edition is Rs. 1500/- more than the standard grade
India Yamaha Motor has launched the Aerox 155 with a starting price of Rs. 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), today.
Available in Grey Vermillion and Racing Blue colourways in addition to the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition, the maxi sports scooter will be available by the end of this month.
The sporty-looking maxi-scooter has LED headlights with DRLs, LED tail light, footboards between which sits the 5.5 litre fuel tank which has an external fuel lid, stepped single-piece seat and a sharp tail.
It comes with a 5.8-inch LCD display (with a toggle to scroll through the menu), and also has Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging sockets and a 24.5-litre under-seat storage as well.
Power comes from a 155cc single-cylinder engine with variable valve actuation and liquid cooling, which makes a maximum of of 15 PS at 8000 RPM and 13.9 Nm of peak torque at 6500 RPM.
The motor is teamed to a CVT and is assisted by a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) system, which also adds stop-start feature.
Moreover, the Aerox 155 has 26 mm telescopic front suspension and dual shocks that the rear and rides on 14-inch wheels with 110 mm (front) and 140 mm (rear) tubeless tyres.
Braking is kept in check by a 230 mm disc up front and a drum setup at the back and there is single channel ABS as standard.
