Hero MotoCorp is currently in a phase of updating its line-up with BS-IV compatible engines.
Hero MotoCorp currently is on a global expansion spree, recently it launched its products for the Argentinian market. Hero has been doing pretty well in the commuter segment but it doesn’t seem to be able to find the right bike to enter the 200cc segment which is currently dominated by TVS and Bajaj.
Hero MotoCorp plans to launch the Xtreme 200S as its next product in the Indian market. This bike will directly take on the TVS Apache 200 and Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS. The specs of the bike are still not finalised, the motorcycle may carry forward the looks of the recently updated Xtreme.
The automaker also plans to expand by opening new manufacturing plants in Bangladesh, which will carter to the demands of the vehicles that are to be exported. Hero also did not mention anything about their 250cc motorcycle, the HX250, this means the plan to launch the bike has currently been delayed again and the launch period is unknown.
Hero has been growing slowly with time, it has become a well established brand ever since it parted with Honda. Hero also seem to be focussing on future products like hybrid scooters and hybrid bikes. The automaker wants to focus on the premium segment and plans to revise the Karizma soon.
