The Momentum is an entry level variant in the Volvo S90 range, launched at Rs. 51.90 lakhs.
Volvo has launched the second variant of the S90 in the Indian market. The new S90 Momentum is an entry level variant in the S90 range and it sits below the top-spec D4 Inscription variant. The S90 Momentum is roughly Rs. 7 Lakhs cheaper than the Inscription variant, which makes it quite desirable in its segment.
The changes on the outside of S90 Momentum include piano black finish on the grille and circular exhaust tips. The car comes equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital gauges, auto parking system, front and rear parking sensors and a standard rear camera. On the safety front, it gets six airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, hill-start assist, adaptive cruise control with pilot assist and ISOFIX seats.
However, this variant misses out on many things like front seat ventilation with massage function, foldable rear seats, Bowers and Wilkins sound system, rear sun-shade, hands-free tailgate opening function, heads-up display and Blind Spot Assist. The Momentum trim also misses out on air suspension, driving modes and paddle shifters.
The Volvo S90 Momentum is powered by a 2.0-litre D4 diesel engine which is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and it churns out 190 HP. In the Indian market, the Volvo S90 Momentum goes head to head against the Mercedes E-Class, Jaguar XF, Audi A6 and BMW 5-Series.
