With an updated version of the Polo GT sedan, Volkswagen is clearly trying to increase its sales momentum starting from the Russian market. The Indian version of the sedan is the Vento which is presently under a furious battleship with its rivals for a prominent position in the C-segment market.
The newly-launched Volkswagen Vento GT in Russia has received few eminent tweaks to its exteriors. The upgraded version of the sedan now rolls on multi-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels. The outline of the car is now improved with aerodynamically designed skirts. The new Vento GT also has LED daytime running lights with standard projector headlamps.
The redesigned exteriors make the Vento look more sportier. The new stylish spoiler on the boot lid, the honeycomb front grille and the classy black contrast roof are some of the appealing additions on the Vento. Moreover, the dual exhaust ports and GT badges on the front indicate that you’re driving something sporty.
The interiors of the new Volkswagen Vento GT are also fresh and well-improvised. With the flat-bottomed steering wheel and GT logo on the door sills, the sporty theme of the car is well-maintained. Aluminium foot pedals and checked seat covers make it more stylish and sporty at the same time. Apart from this, you also get the standard equipment on the sedan.
As far as technical specifications and power figures are concerned, the new Vento is being powered by a 1.4-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine. The stepped-up motor manages to produce 125 PS of power. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission for the standard variant. For the top variant, it gets a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
Initially, the car will come with black and red strips on the hood and boot lid.. But, this provision will be given to the first 300 customers only who opt for the white or silver exterior colour. As of now, the new sedan is launched in Russia under the tag of Polo GT sedan. It is unclear whether the automaker will launch it in India or not but such a variant will always be welcome.
