Volkswagen India has launched the limited edition version of the Vento, named as Vento Style with an additional styling package. The German automaker is calling it the ‘Signature Chrome Package’ that includes style badging finished in chrome on the dashboard, front chrome grille, exterior chrome highlights, new set of alloy wheels, dual tone seat covers in beige and brown contrast and chrome doorstep garnish engraved with Style badging. The chrome loving buyers will love this limited edition Vento in the new pepper grey shade.
The Volkswagen Vento Style is available with both diesel and petrol powered variants. Reminding you of the tech specs, the Vento featuring the 1.6-litre diesel motor produces a maximum power of 105 BHP and peak torque of 250 Nm, while the 1.6-litre petrol engine is good for 105 BHP of maximum power with 153 Nm of peak torque, both mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Vento Style diesel is available with a price tag of Rs. 9,41,000/- while the Vento Style petrol is priced at Rs. 8,33,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The purpose behind introducing the limited edition model is to clear the stock in the slow selling scenario of the Indian car market. Volkswagen must also be feeling the heat from the recent unveiling of the Honda Amaze and the facelifted Maruti Suzuki SX4. Maruti Suzuki has also reacted recently by introducing the limited edition Swift DZire Regal that features a new serene blue paint job with cosmetic changes on the exteriors and interiors. Renault too has come up with a limited edition Scala Travelogue to boost sales amidst decreasing demand.
