Volkswagen has launched the Polo Exquisite and Vento Highline Plus special editions, where both the cars get extra features.
As the festive season is nearing, we are seeing more and more automakers launching new and special editions of their vehicles. Joining the bandwagon is Volkswagen who has just launched the Polo Exquisite and the Vento Highline Plus in India. Both the vehicles get some cosmetic changes and additions to the equipment list, to make them more appealing and to generate some more interest among buyers who are now just spoilt for choice.
The Volkswagen Polo Exquisite comes with a carbon fibre finished centre console, trunk garnish, body side moulding, black roof, carbon fibre finish on ORVMs, detachable window blinds, floor mats, scuff plates and seat covers. The Polo Exquisite is based on the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel Highline models only and it won’t be available with the GT models. Apart from the above, there are no other changes to the vehicle and it remains completely the same.
The Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus comes with features like a new multimedia navigation system, black roof, casing for ORVMs, scuff plates, body side moulding, new floor mates and detachable sun blinds. The Vento Highline Plus is based on the regular Highline trims of the sedan with both petrol and diesel engines. However, this new variant is not available with the 1.2-litre TSI engine. Keeping these features aside, nothing else has changed.
Both the Vento and Polo are in very competitive segments where customers have a lot of options to choose from. While the Polo competes with the Maruti Swift, Hyundai Elite i20, Fiat Punto Evo, Honda Jazz and Ford Figo, the Vento has to fight it out with the Honda City, Maruti Ciaz, Skoda Rapid, Hyundai Verna, Nissan Sunny and Renault Scala. Volkswagen has made dual front airbags standard on every variant of the Polo and Vento.
