VinFast To Launch The VF6 SUV In India Soon, Combines Minimalist Interior With Interesting Styling
VinFast has decided to make strategic inroads into the Indian market with the VF6 electric SUV. The Nasdaq-listed brand from Vietnam is trying to deliver a combination of efficiency and sleek design with its lineup. The brand has been able to launch its EVs in other parts of Asia, Europe and now seems poised to enter the Indian market after showcasing their products at the recently concluded 2025 Auto Expo.
Styling
The VinFast VF6 integrates the design philosophy of “The Duality In Nature”. The exterior has various aspects that focus on the VinFast “V” logo. The LED DRLs form an eyebrow-like shape surrounding the logo, complementing it. There are also various aerodynamic considerations to minimize the amount of drag while preserving a confident profile.
Interior
The interior of the VF6 to integrates features such as the 12.9-inch infotainment system, Level 2 ADAS, etc. The dashboard tries to hide physical buttons in favour of a minimalist environment.
Battery Information
The VF6, in international markets, is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack. It has two variants: Eco and Plus. The Eco variant should give a range of up to 399 km, producing 174 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The Plus variant is available at a higher state of tune, producing 201 HP and 310 Nm of torque. However, the range is reduced to 381 km.
Outlook
VinFast has set aims for local production by establishing a manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. This helps to generate large-scale employment in India, increasing the local and national economy. However, the exact launch date has not been revealed. VinFast also plans to launch multiple other EVs in the Indian market, and the VF6 is potentially the starting point.
The Indian EV market is growing exponentially and while new automakers are always welcome here, the current big players in the market also have great products up their sleeves and at the end of the day, it is the consumer who is winning thanks to so many choices.
