The Vespa Racing Sixties is a limited edition and is expected to launch next month.
The Vespa Racing Sixies is a scooter with a racing liveries from the sixties, hence the name. The scooter has only cosmetic updates over the regular SXL 150 scooter it is based on. The cosmetic updates include new red and gold accents over the white body colour, golden alloy wheels, and matte black accents. The scooter also gets white piping along the seats to accentuate the looks.
The Vespa Racing Sixties gets a smoked windscreen, overseeing the matte black wing mirrors and the headlamp surround. The headlamps themselves are now an LED unit. Mechanically, as mentioned before, the Vespa Racing Sixties scooter is a BS6 compliant SXL 150. This means we are looking at a 3 valve, 150cc fuel-injected motor putting out 10.4 BHP, and 10.6 Nm of torque. However these numbers are achieved quite high up the rev band, 7600 RPM, and 5500 RPM for the horsepower and torque figures respectively.
This scooter also gets disc brakes on both wheels, 200 mm at front and 140 mm at the rear. ABS comes standard and so does a USB charge port and an under-seat light with this limited edition model. The standard BS6 compliant SXL 150 would demand Rs. 1.26 lakh apiece. With all the aforementioned cosmetic upgrades, and with a limited-edition tag to go with it, expect this variant to cost a bit more.
