Italian two-wheeler giant Piaggio has launched the Vespa Esclusivo limited edition model in India. The first ever limited edition model to have come on the Vespa in the country, the model gets a host of aesthetic upgrades, which the company states have been designed to match the taste of today’s lifestyle oriented aspirant youth. Only 1000 examples of the limited edition Vespa will be made with each model flaunting a distinctive number badge to separate it from the other models of the company.
The Vespa Esclusivo limited edition is based on the VX model and gets new checkered body decals and trendy graphics enhancing the look of the premium scooter, while the alloys sport the new dual-tone, black and silver colour scheme adding to the visual appeal. The seats have been particularly designed in grey top and black side theme and get contrast coloured stitching and piping that boast the exclusive appeal.
Also distinguishing the Vespa Esclusivo limited edition model from the regular models are the distinctively numbered badges located on the front compartment storage lid. Piaggio is offering the limited edition models in the choice of three colours, which include Monte Bianco (White), Rosso Dragon (Red) and Nero Matt (Black). There have been no changes to the powertrain of the limited edition variant and it continues with the same 125cc, 3-valve, 4-stroke engine producing 10 PS and 10.06 Nm of torque, paired to a CVT gearbox.
Piaggio had previewed the Esclusivo edition at Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore in the past weeks and states to have received great response from Vespa loyalists for the limited edition variant. The pre-bookings have already commenced for the Esclusivo edition with deliveries expected in some days. Piaggio also stated that the company plans to launch one or two limited edition models every year in the future with each model being distinctive, exclusive and individually badged. The Vespa Esclusivo edition has been priced at Rs. 81,786/- (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
