The Elegante limited edition adds two new colour shades as well as a new chrome grille, leather finished twin seats, chrome guards and the ‘Elegante badge’ priced at a premium over the standard variant.
Keeping up with its promise to launch limited edition models ever year, Piaggio has launched the new Vespa Elegante limited edition model in the country priced at Rs. 78,999/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) that adds touch of premium-ness to the scooter. Launched specifically for the festive season, Piaggio says that the Elegante limited edition model offers differentiation with its new styling bits in the premium scooter space. The company has also added two new shades to the Vespa which include the Marrone Crete Senesi (brown), inspired from the brown clay; and the Bianco Perla (white), inspired from the white pearls from the sea.
Starting with the list of special upgrades available on the Vespa Elegante limited edition, the premium scooter gets a new chrome grille, new colour coordinated leather finished twin seats (a nice old school touch), new all-round chrome guard kit, a front bumper guard and the ‘Elegante’ badge on the glovebox cover. With the small yet significant touches, the limited edition add-ons manage to spruce up the classic lines of the scooter even further. Piaggio is also offering the Elegante edition with two new colour coordinated limited edition helmets that add to the exclusivity of the scooter.
Mechanically, the Vespa is powered by the same 125cc single-cylinder 3-valve engine that produces 10.06 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 10.6 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM, paired to an automatic transmission. The scooter gets tubeless tyres wrapped around alloy wheels as standard, while stopping power comes from a disc brake at the front and a drum brake set-up at the rear. After launching the Exclusive edition earlier this year, this will be the second limited edition to be launched by the company in the country. Piaggio plans to launch at least two limited editions every year to maintain exclusivity and differentiation that customers want.
