Suzuki is likely to launch an updated version of the Intruder 150 cruiser bike in India next year.
After upgrading the Gixxer and the Gixxer 250 SF, Suzuki is all set to upgrade the Intruder 150 cruiser in India, launched in late 2017. The bike’s hard to miss and bulky styling attracted a lot of buyers in the beginning but sales figures have since declined owing to unhappy customers. Reportedly, there have been complaints about the 14.8 PS motor failing to climb hills and falling short of expectations. The comparatively thin tires failed to complement the overall design of the bike as well.
It is believed that the Suzuki Intruder 150 will borrow the 250cc single-cylinder powertrain from the Gixxer 250 SF. Post the mechanical change, the company plans to offer new paint schemes and special editions on the Intruder 150 instead of discontinuing it. Currently, the bike is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.01 lakh.
One can expect the new Suzuki Intruder to be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. This cruiser motorcycle rivals the Bajaj Avenger.
