Tata Altroz EV
Tata also unveiled an all-electric version of the Altroz hatchback at Geneva. Based on the same platform and design language, the Altroz EV is essentially the same car as the Altroz barring the IC engine. The Altroz EV will be the company’s first long range EV with an estimated range of 250 kms. Moreover, Tata claims that the Altroz EV can be charged from zero to 80 percent in less than an hour with a fast charging station.
The Altroz EV looks very similar to the regular Altroz but features a few contrasting design elements like dual-LED headlamps, a redesigned front grille with no vents, thanks to the battery power. It also gets redesigned bumpers and 16-inch alloy wheels, along with a distinctive kink around the front wing mirrors and a unique black strip under the window lines. The estimated price for the Altroz EV is Rs. 12-14 lakhs (ex-showroom).
