MG Motor will launch its first car for India by June 2019 and the company has few more SUVs in the offing.
MG Motor is currently testing the upcoming Hector SUV which is going to mark the company’s debut in India by the mid of this year. Post the Hector, MG will be launching the eZS electric SUV that will arrive by the end of 2019 via the CBU route.
The company has bigger plans and they will introduce 2 more SUVs in the market in the next two years. The first one out of the two will be a 7-seater version of the Hector and will possibly carry a different name. The second SUV, i.e. the fourth SUV in the line-up will be a compact SUV.
The compact SUV will rival the likes of the Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300. The 7-seater version of the Hector will rival the Mahindra XUV500 and the Tata Hexa & HX7. MG is supposed to invest Rs. 5000 crores in the Indian market out of which they’ve already invested Rs. 2000 crores.
