July 2023 is going to be a packed month for the auto industry with so many important cars being launched.
Kia Seltos – First up is the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift which is all set to be launched today (4th July). It is an updated version of the compact SUV which marked Kia’s arrival in India in 2019. The Seltos facelift gets cosmetic updates and some enhancements to the interior. The vehicle will get 3 engine options – 1.5 NA petrol, 1.5 Turbo petrol and 1.5 diesel; with each of them being offered with MT and AT options
Maruti Suzuki Invicto – Next is the Maruti Suzuki Invicto which will be launched on 5th July. It is basically a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova HyCross under Suzuki-Toyota’s partnership. The vehicle remains fundamentally the same but gets new wheels, redesigned grille and a few minor updates on the inside like different colour schemes. Expect the pricing to be in the whereabouts of the Innova.
Hyundai Exter – Another important mass-market car is the Hyundai Exter which will arrive on 10th July. It is basically hatchback on stilts and will rival the Tata Punch. The Exter will get Hyundai’s popular 1.2 Kappa petrol engine shared with the Grand i10 NIOS and Aura, and will be offered with MT and AMT. The vehicle has a catchy design and is expected to be loaded with a lot of features.
Mercedes-Benz GLC – The GLC has been a popular name in the luxury vehicle segment since a long time and Mercedes is all set to launch the new generation of this SUV here. It will be offered in both petrol and diesel guises and will rival the likes of the Volvo XC40, BMW X1 and Audi Q3. The vehicle will be launched towards the end of July.
Honda Elevate – One of the most talked about cars in recent times, Honda’s Elevate has a lot of weight to carry on its shoulder. It finally marks Honda’s arrival in a segment which is already very crowded with the Creta, Seltos, Astor, Taigun, Kushaq, Urban Cruiser HyRyder and Grand Vitara. The vehicle will get Honda’s 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine with either an MT or CVT, while a hybrid powertrain and a diesel engine will be given a miss. The Elevate will be launched in July-end.
Toyota Vellfire – Toyota’s luxury MPV/Van got a new generation just a few days back and the vehicle is expected to be launched in India towards the end of July 2023. It will cater to the uber-premium customers who like to travel in top-notch comfort. Being a Toyota, reliability won’t be an issue and the Vellfire just makes sense as a no-nonsense chauffeur-driven luxury car.
