United Motorcycles re-opened bookings of the Renegade family once again, after bagging over 1000 bookings in the first batch. The deliveries are expected to start from August 2016.
The Miami based motorcycle manufacturer showcased its range of smart cruisers – the Renegade Commando, Renegade Sport S and Renegade Classic at the 2016 Auto Expo. Even though it has been a while since the company entered the Indian Market, it managed to bag over a 1000 bookings in the first batch, the deliveries of which will start from mid-June.
The second batch of bookings started lately and the deliveries for the first 500 bookings will be in August. The remaining batch of 500 units will be delivered in the month of September. The company has set up 25 dealerships across the country, which are yet to be inaugurated. According to sources, the dealerships will be operational by the end of April.
The booking amount is Rs. 10,000/- which can be paid either online or at the dealership. The test rides for the bikes will reportedly begin by the end of May, followed by the first lot of deliveries of 500 units in June and the remaining in July. The range of entry level cruisers comes with a starting price tag of Rs. 1.49 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Renegade Sport S and Renegade Commando are priced at Rs. 1.49 lakhs and Rs. 1.59 lakhs respectively. The Renegade Classic, which was showcased at the company’s pavilion at the Auto Expo in February, is the most expensive of the lot and comes with a price tag of Rs. 1.69 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
