UM has launched the carburetted models of the Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S.
The American bikemaker, UM has launched the carburettor variants of the Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S. These bikes were already offered with the fuel injection system. Apart from the addition of carburettor, the bikes remain unchanged.
The bikes are powered by a 279.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled carburetted engine that produces 23.7 PS of power and 23 Nm of torque which comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The carburetted engine makes less power than the fuel-injected version. The fuel-injected engine produces 25.15 PS of power.
Both the bikes get 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and twin coil-spring suspension on the rear. The bikes sit on 16-inch and 15-inch wheels at the front and rear respectively. Both bikes have 280 mm front disc brake and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear.
Unfortunately, these bikes miss out on ABS and moreover it isn’t available as an option too. Both the motorcycles have a fuel tank capacity of 18 litres and feature a USB charging port. The kerb weight of the Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S is 179 kg and 177 kg respectively.
The Renegade Sport S is available in three paint colour options – Young Red, Black Silver and Young Orange. Whereas the Renegade Commando is offered in Matt Moss Green, Burgundy Shine and Black Shine colour. The carburettor model of Renegade Sport S and Renegade Commando will cost you Rs 1.79 lakh and Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
