Ultraviolette expands EV lineup with Tesseract e-scooter & Shockwave enduro bike
Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer Ultraviolette has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of two new models — the Tesseract electric maxi-scooter and the Shockwave lightweight enduro bike. Both models come with special introductory pricing and are set to hit the roads by early 2026.
Ultraviolette Tesseract Electric Scooter
The Tesseract marks Ultraviolette’s entry into the electric scooter segment. Priced at Rs. 1.45 lakhs (ex-showroom), the scooter is available at a reduced introductory price of Rs. 1.20 lakhs for the first 10,000 buyers. Deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
The Tesseract is positioned as a tech-rich, feature-packed electric maxi-scooter aimed at urban riders seeking performance and practicality. Key highlights include a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display, wireless phone charging, integrated front and rear dashcams and even radar-assisted safety features — a first for electric scooters in India. The scooter also comes with haptic feedback on the handlebar, enhancing rider interaction.
While Ultraviolette hasn’t disclosed the exact battery specifications, the claimed range stands at 261 km (IDC) on a full charge. Performance figures include a 0-60 km/hr acceleration time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 125 km/hr. A fast-charging system allows the battery to recharge from 0 to 80% in under an hour.
The Tesseract features 14-inch wheels, making it one of the few scooters in the country to offer this larger wheel size, alongside the River Indie. It also boasts dual-channel ABS, traction control and dynamic stability control, mirroring the safety suite found on Ultraviolette’s F77 electric motorcycle.
Practicality has been prioritized as well, with 34 litres of under-seat storage — enough to accommodate a full-face helmet. Customers can choose from three colour options: Desert Sand, Stealth Black and Sonic Pink, with a selection of accessories also on offer.
Ultraviolette Shockwave Electric Bike
Launching alongside the Tesseract is Ultraviolette’s new lightweight electric enduro bike, the Shockwave. This off-road-capable model has been priced at Rs. 1.50 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the initial 1000 units, with the price increasing to Rs. 1.75 lakhs once the introductory batch is sold out. Deliveries for the Shockwave will also commence in Q1 2026.
Weighing just 120 kg, the Shockwave is designed for lightweight performance and off-road versatility. It features a peak output of 14.7 HP, along with an impressive 505 Nm of torque at the wheel — a figure boosted by the bike’s gearing.
The bike is capable of sprinting from 0-60 km/hr in 2.9 seconds, matching the Tesseract’s acceleration. It has a claimed top speed of 120 km/hr and offers an IDC-certified range of 165 km. Similar to the scooter, Ultraviolette has not revealed the exact battery capacity.
Suspension duties are handled by a 37 mm USD fork at the front offering 200 mm of travel, paired with a monoshock at the rear with 180 mm travel. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, shod with 90/90 and 110/90 tyres, respectively. Braking is managed by a 270 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc.
The Shockwave will be available in two dual-tone paint options — yellow/black and white/red.
Expanding Product Lineup
With these two launches, Ultraviolette is expanding its product lineup, which now spans multiple vehicle platforms. The F-series focuses on performance-oriented motorcycles like the F77, while the S-series represents scooters, and the L-series is dedicated to lightweight bikes like the Shockwave. The company has also teased two additional platforms — X and B — which will underpin future products.
Both the Tesseract and Shockwave reflect Ultraviolette’s strategy of combining cutting-edge technology, performance and practical features, aiming to cater to diverse rider needs, from urban commutes to off-road adventures.
