Ultraviolette F99 gets active aerodynamics!
Ultraviolette F99 fully-faired electric motorcycle revealed at EICMA show in Milan, Italy. It is officially called F99 Factory Racing Platform, which is basically a near-production concept version that will be launched in 2025.
It comes with an aggressive design language inspired by fighter jets. The electric motorcycle has a futuristic look with a sharp front profile, aerodynamic panels and aggressive seating position along with a narrow tail.
The motorcycle comes with Active Aerodynamics including the carbon fibre finished panels and winglets. These panels are integrated at two pivotal locations on the F99 – on air shield, acting as an air windshield and two front cowl ducts, channelling air to the motor that compresses and releases it through vanes. This mechanism forms a barrier of high-velocity air molecules, optimising airflow over the rider’s helmet to reduce drag.
The Ultraviolette F99 is powered by an electric motor which produces 90 kW or 120 BHP. It does 0-100 km/hr in 3 seconds and has a top speed of 265 km/hr. It has an aero drag coefficient of 0.45 and kerb weight of 178 kg.
