The Ultraviolette F77 teaser arrives ahead of the bike’s launch set to take place in March
Ultraviolette Automotive has released a teaser video of the F77 electric motorcycle today. The bike is scheduled for launch this March.
While pre-orders are yet to be taken for the motorcycle by the TVS-backed company, it is well-known that the bike will come in 3 variants, namely Airstrike, Shadow and Laser.
According to the information on the company’s website, the F77 which will weigh 158 kg, have a maximum power output of 25 kW or 33.5 BHP at 2250 RPM and a peak torque rating of 90 Nm at the motor and 450 Nm at the wheel.
It has a single reduction gear, chain drive, can do the 0-100 km/hr sprint in 7.5 seconds, hit a top speed of 147 km/hr and cover between 130 and 150 km with its 3 battery packs fully charged.
Speaking of which, the total battery capacity is 4.2 kWh. It takes 5 hours to completely charge all the packs through a standard power outlet, while a fast charger will do the job in 1.5 hours.
Featuring a steel trellis frame, the bike has inverted front forks, rear monoshock (adjustable for pre-load), a 320 mm front disc with 4-piston radial caliper, 230 mm rear disc with single piston floating caliper, dual channel ABS and regen.
Riding on 17-inch wheels wrapped with 110/70-section front and 150/60-section rear tyres, the Ultraviolette F77, teaser video of which has been released, comes with full-LED lights, a TFT dash, backlit switches, reverse assist, and 3 ride modes.
Production of the F77 is set to begin soon and over 90 percent of the electric bike’s components, including the battery pack, will be locally-sourced and manufactured.
