Ultraviolette extends Tesseract’s launch price of Rs. 1.20 lakh to 50,000 buyers

Bangalore-based Ultraviolette Automotive has announced an extension of its introductory pricing for the newly launched Tesseract electric scooter, now available to the first 50,000 buyers at a reduced cost of Rs. 1.20 lakhs (ex-showroom). Initially, the special pricing was limited to the first 20,000 customers; however, overwhelming demand led the company to broaden its offer.

The Tesseract, which carries a standard ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.45 lakhs, saw 20,000 pre-bookings within the first 48 hours of its launch earlier this week. This strong market response prompted Ultraviolette to extend the special pricing in an effort to make the vehicle more accessible to a larger customer base.

Equipped with a 20.1 BHP electric motor, the Tesseract delivers impressive performance, accelerating from 0 to 60 km/hr in just 2.9 seconds. Customers can choose from three battery configurations—3.5 kWh, 5 kWh and 6 kWh—offering a maximum range of up to 261 km on a single charge.

Designed with a futuristic and sporty aesthetic, the e-scooter integrates several advanced features. Notably, it is the first in its segment to include dual radars and front and rear cameras, enhancing safety through blind spot detection, collision alerts and overtake assistance. Other key highlights include a large touchscreen instrument console powered by Violette AI connectivity, dual-channel ABS, traction control, dynamic stability control, cruise control, keyless access, park assist, hill hold and built-in navigation.

With the expansion of its introductory offer, Ultraviolette aims to strengthen its position in the growing electric two-wheeler market while offering customers a compelling value proposition. The Tesseract’s blend of performance, technology, and safety features positions it as a strong contender in the premium e-scooter segment.
