TVS Wego price reduced by Rs. 2000/- owing to lesser sales.
TVS Motor Company has reduced the prices of its Wego 110cc scooter by Rs. 2000/-. The move comes at a time when most of the manufacturers are increasing the prices of their respective scooters. The base variant of the Wego now costs Rs. 50,165/- and the disc variant is priced at Rs. 53,083/- (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
The reduction in price is also an attempt to revive the sales of the Wego. The homegrown automaker sold 1901 units of the Wego in February 2018 as compared to 3402 units in the same period in 2017. The vehicle comes powered by a 109.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 7.88 BHP of power and 8.4 Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. Feature highlights include a fully digital instrument console, Power and Eco mode indicator, external fuel cap filler and an LED tail-light.
The TVS Wego rivals the Honda Activa, Suzuki Let’s and Hero Maestro Edge.
