TVS Motor showcased the new Star City Plus at the 2014 Auto Expo. The Star City+ is an upgraded version of the 110cc Star City motorcycle with added features to the list. Visually the bike retains the original Star City design with a more chiselled body and gets new colours and body graphics.
The TVS Star City+ gets additional features like a digital speedometer, up class control and switches, hi-intensity lamp, soft touch grips, service indicator, improved cushioning on seats and aluminium grab rail. The bike also features alloy wheels as standard. The TVS Star City is powered by a 109.7cc, 4-stroke, eco-thrust DLI engine that produces 8.1 HP of power at 7500 RPM and 8.1 Nm of torque at 5000 RPM and is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The engine is known to be frugal with a claimed mileage of 83.9 km/l.
TVS motor’s ‘Star’ brand has sold over four million units and TVS plans to take the sales forward with providing a more potent package at a lucrative price point. The motorcycle is expected to be launched in next three to four months.
