Norton Motorcycles has confirmed that the launch of the 2021 V4SS superbike will take place overseas before end of year.
It will be the first among many new bikes, including the 2021 V4 RR, that will be launched by the brand that was saved earlier this year by TVS.
A small video released on Twitter by the firm, which can be seen here, shows the brand’s CEO John Russell standing beside what looks like the Euro 5-compliant version of the V4SS.
Limited to just 200 units, the V4SS has elegantly styled carbon fibre bodywork that is contrasted by the bright finish frame and engine casing. It has a single-sided swingarm and carbon fibre wheels too.
Powering the bike is a 1200cc, 72 degree V4 engine that produces 200 BHP of maximum power and 130 Nm of peak torque. The shocks are race developed, claims Norton and the bike has a seat height of 836 mm.
After the 2021 Norton V4SS launch, the bikemaker is expected to unveil the V4RR superbike, which it claims is a TT racer for the road.
It has been listed on its website as a 2021 model and is powered by the same engine as the V4SS and will be the first new model of the brand under TVS ownership.
TVS has promised that it will maintain and upgrade the British brand’s production lines and it will also pump in cash to develop new models that will still retain Norton’s premium image.
