TVS is offering the Jupiter scooter with two new colours for the festive season, which inlude matte beige and sparkling silver, while there are no changes to the styling or powetrain.
We stumbled upon this hoarding of TVS Motor offering two new colour schemes for the Jupiter 110cc scooter. Available in the new shades of matte beige and sparkling silver, the Jupiter looks more premium and certainly more stylish, even without any changes to the styling or mechanicals. Launched last year, this month also marks the first anniversary of the Jupiter in the Indian market and the new colour shades are a good way to celebrate the capable scooter’s success for the company.
In terms of powertrain, the TVS Jupiter is powered by a 106.7cc 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 8 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM, paired to a primary CVT and a secondary gearbox. The scooter comes with a steady design with little curves and certainly looks appealing. Suspension duties are performed by telescopic forks at the front, while the rear gets hydraulic and gas filled shocks. Stopping power on the other hand comes from drum brakes at the front and rear. TVS does not offer a front disc brake, even as an option. TVS claims an ARAI certified mileage of 62 km/l on the Jupiter.
With the arrival of the festive season, the new colour schemes certainly add to the desirability factor of the Jupiter and will help the two-wheeler giant to further lure buyers to dealerships during the auspicious period. What makes it even more special is the array of features available that makes it a value for money offering in the segment. Apart from the two new shades, the Jupiter is available in 4 more colours on the palette (white, red, grey and black), with prices starting at Rs. 44,250/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
