TVS has launched the Jupiter ZX Disc variant with a price tag of Rs. 69,052/- (ex-showroom, Delhi), a difference of a little under Rs. 4000/- from the ZX drum variant.
Launch of disc brake variant, says TVS, is “in line with TVS Motor Company’s continuous endeavour to provide best-in-class features which cater to the evolving need of Indian customers”.
According to the manufacturer, the scooter also comes with an upgraded electric start technology called “i-TOUCHstart”, which “provides a silent and instant start minus the cranking noise, making it ideal for repeated starts in stop-go traffic”.
The technology is also said to improve battery life, and TVS claims that it is maintenance free.
As the name suggests, the TVS Jupiter ZX disc price hike is due to the addition of a front disc brake which is a welcome addition, as it will provide additional stopping power and improve the safety for the rider.
Other notable features offered on the scooter are all-in-one lock to operate the ignition, steering lock, seat lock and fuel tank cap, 2-litre glovebox, 21-litre under seat storage and mobile charger.
Equipped with ET-Fi technology, TVS Jupiter ZX disc’s 110cc engine produces 8 BHP of peak power and 8 Nm of max torque, all the while delivering a claimed 15 percent better economy. The scooter gets adjustable shocks as well.
Paint scheme options on the scooter are currently limited to just three and they are – Matte Starlight Blue, Starlight Blue and Royal Wine.
