The production version of the TVS Graphite 150cc scooter has been spied testing on a highway in Karnataka. The scooter has been reportedly doing speeds of around 110 km/hr! Youtuber One Life to Travel has shared a video of the same.
The video shows an Aprilia SR 150 rider chasing the TVS Graphite and it is apparent that the scooter is able to do high speeds which makes us believe that the scooter is likely to be powered by a 150cc engine. However, TVS is yet to confirm this. The test mule spotted features alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension, single rear shock absorber and sporty bodywork. A front disc brake could be offered on the scooter, though the test mule seen here gets only a drum brake. More details on the scooter remain sketchy at this point.
TVS had showcased the concept version of the Graphite at the 2014 Auto Expo. The concept’s main highlight was its styling and AMT gearbox with paddle shifters. The concept employed disc brakes at both the ends and also featured dual-channel ABS. The Graphite will rival the Aprilia SR 150 and the upcoming Suzuki 150cc scooter. The Apache-maker is also working on a 125cc Jupiter that will rival the Honda Grazia and Suzuki Access 125.
