Just days after an adventure touring version of the TVS Apache 200 surfaced, we get a glimpse of a full-faired avatar of the bike, brought to life by the same tuning house in Indonesia.
The faired version of the TVS Apache 200 is under works currently. But if you are the kind of person who doesn’t like waiting, you can head over to Indonesia where a custom tuning house based in Jakarta has been busy, and has introduced a full-faired TVS Apache 200 following the adventure touring counterpart. The colour combinations used in both these custom jobs are also identical.
While the adventure tourer retained most of the stock styling cues, like the pillion grab rails, the full-faired TVS Apache 200 gets a complete design overhaul, and if it wasn’t for the badges, it would take some careful looking around, to make out the origins of the bike. The styling has been masterfully merged with the original design. All the new panels flow smoothly into each other and the bike does come off looking rather handsome.
As for changes, the list is a rather long one. The bike gets an all new full-fairing up front, with huge air vents besides the headlight, which is the stock unit. The front forks get a new covering. On the sides, we can see a newly designed exhaust. The tail piece has also undergone a complete re-design. The grab handles are nowhere to be seen and it gets a sharp tapering design to give it that aggressive look.
On the mechanical front, we can see that the TVS Apache 200 gets a twin disc setup up front, and seems to have undergone a complete chassis overhaul as can be seen from the new swingarm. We are still not sure if the swingarm is a legit unit, or just an added on design element. Any concrete information about the engine is unavailable. The stock unit however, produces 20.7 HP of power and 18.1 Nm of torque, and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
