TVS Apache 200 Race Edition 2.0 launched, gets Anti-Reverse Torque Slipper Clutch.
Post the launch of the Apache 200 ABS, the TVS Apache 200 Race Edition 2.0 has been launched in India. The Race Edition 2.0 is available in the Carburetor, EFI and Carburetor with ABS variants priced at Rs. 95,185/-, Rs. 1,07,885/- and Rs. 1,08,985/- (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
The Apache 200 Race Edition 2.0 gets cosmetic as well as extra features when compared to the regular Apache 200. First up, there are new sporty and aggressive race-inspired graphics. The bike also gets a fly-screen which was only exclusive to the EFI variant till now.
In terms of features, the Apache 200 Race Edition 2.0 is equipped with segment first ‘A-RT (Anti-Reverse Torque) Slipper Clutch’ which claims a 22% reduction in clutch force for quicker upshifts. The technology also aims at ensuring rider safety in high speed downshifts, avoids wheel-hopping while taking on corners and enhances stability with back-balance torque limiter effect.
Mechanicals of the bike remain unchanged. It still continues to draw power from a 197.75cc single-cylinder motor that produces 20.5 PS of power (in the Carb variant) and 21 PS of power (in the EFI variant) at 8500 RPM and 18.1 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
