TVS has launched the Apache 200 FI variant in India, priced at Rs. 1.07 lakhs.
After an excruciating wait of over 22 months since the initial launch of the Apache 200, TVS has now launched the FI variant of the bike in India at a price of Rs. 1.07 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Sadly, there is still no ABS being offered. The FI variant is available only in select cities of India.
The 197.5cc single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled motor produces 21 HP (0.5 HP more than the carburetted version) of power and 18.1 Nm (same as the carburetted version) of torque. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Due to fuel-injection technology, the Apache 200 FI is slightly quicker and faster than the carburetted version. 0-60 km/hr comes up in just 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 129 km/hr.
The TVS Apache 200 FI uses telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is via discs at both the ends. The street-fighter gets a 12-litre fuel-tank and tips the scales at 148.5 kgs (0.5 kgs heavier than the carburetted version). Other features in the motorcycle are double-barrel exhaust, fully digital instrument cluster, clip-on handlebars, LED DRLs and split seats.
