Triumph is about to launch the new Tiger 900 in India.
The Triumph Tiger 900 made its world debut in December 2019. The adventure motorcycles was introduced by the British premium bike maker to replace the Tiger 800 series.
The Tiger 900 comes with a new design language and is loaded with tech. It is more powerful and has new features on offer compared to the Tiger 800.
Triumph has officially teased the bike in India. Launch is expected to happen very soon. Some dealers have also started accepting bookings for the same.
The Tiger 900 is offered in multiple variants – Base, Rally, Rally Pro, GT and GT Pro variants. While the Rally trims are off-road oriented. The GT versions are for touring purpose.
The styling looks fresh and sleeker. Tiger 900 has a less bulky stance than 800. Front profile looks sharp with new LED headlight and DRLs.
It comes with all-digital sizeable TFT display with smartphone connectivity. It has functions like phone calls, GPS navigation, music operation and GoPro control. The screen can be controlled from the joystick.
Some of the premium features include heated seats and tyre pressure monitoring system.
Tiger 900 is based on a new lightweight chassis. It is powered by a 888cc, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder engine. Produces 93.9 HP at 8750 RPM and 87 Nm at 7250 RPM, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
There are up to 6 riding modes on offer. Rain, Road, Sport, Off-Road, Rider-configurable and Off-Road Pro. The base version only gets Rain and Road modes.
The Triumph Tiger 900 is expected to launch in India with a price range of Rs. 12-15 lakhs (ex-showroom). It competes with the likes of KTM 790 Adventure and BMW F 850 GS.
