Triumph Motorcycles has started accepting bookings for the 2016 range of Bonneville motorcycles which includes the Thruxton, Thruxton R, Street Twin, T120 and the T120 Black.
The 2016 Triumph Bonneville motorcycles were unveiled in October last year and now the manufacturer has started accepting bookings for the bikes which include the Thruxton, Thruxton R, Street Twin, T120 and T120 Black. The motorcycles can be booked at any of the 12 dealerships. The entire lineup will be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo which will commence on 3rd February while 5th to 9th February will be for the general public. The range is updated in order to match the standards of new launches such as the Ducati Scrambler and BMW R nineT.
Triumph has developed a new family of engines for the updated Bonneville range which includes 900cc and 1200cc units. The most affordable Street Twin will be powered by a 900cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that produces 54 BHP and 80 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The remaining four motorcycles will be powered by the new 1200cc engine, however it produces 105 Nm at 3100 RPM in T120 and 112 Nm at 4950 RPM in the Thruxton.
The 2016 Triumph Bonneville Street Twin is an all-new motorcycle developed from scratch by the British manufacturer which replaces the 865cc motorcycle from the existing range. The new bike does justice to the vintage design while delivering a modern riding experience with features such as ABS, Traction Control and a very minimalist design. The T120 and T120 Black will come with two riding modes – Road and Rain while the Thruxton duo will have three riding modes with Sport as an addition.
Triumph is one of the few manufacturers who have faced the changing trends in the industry while holding onto the character of its motorcycles. The British automaker recently launched the Speed Triple siblings at the 2015 EICMA. The prices of the new-generation Bonneville range are expected to be declared at the 2016 Auto Expo. The Indian voyage of the manufacturer is going well with dealerships in all the main cities of the country.
