Triumph Scrambler 400 X will be available at the exclusive Triumph dealer network
Triumph Scrambler 400 X launched with a price tag of Rs. 2.63 lakhs (ex-showroom). The motorcycle is available in three colour options – Matt Khaki Green, Carnival Red and Silver Ice. Bookings are open for a refundable token amount of Rs. 10,000/-.
The design language of the new Triumph Scrambler 400 X looks inspired by its elder siblings with styling details borrowed from the Scrambler 900 and 1200. The bike comes with some rugged elements like protection for the headlight, radiator, sump and handguards, a handlebar brace with pad, upswept silencer, dual-purpose tyres and a longer front mudguard.
It is powered by a liquid-cooled, 4 valve, DOHC, single-cylinder 398.15cc engine that produces 40 PS at 8000 RPM and 37.5 Nm at 6500 RPM mated to a 6-speed gearbox with torque-assist clutch.
It has a seat height of 835 mm and a kerb weight of 179 kg. It is equipped with 43 mm upside down Big Piston forks up front with 150 mm wheel travel. Rear gets gas monoshock with external reservoir and pre-load adjustment and 150 mm wheel travel.
320 mm disc up front and 230 mm disc at the rear with Bosch dual-channel ABS. The bike features a big analogue cluster with integrated LCD screen offering digital tachometer, fuel range, gear indicator, etc. It comes with USB-C port for charging your smartphone and other devices.
The Scrambler 400 X comes equipped with a steering lock and an anti-theft immobiliser
as standard. The transponder chip integrated into the ignition key ensures only the owner
can start the engine.
