Triumph has introduced the 2021 Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen edition with a price tag of Rs. 13.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, India), today.
In April, the British bike manufacturer revealed 3 versions of its 2021 model year Scrambler 1200 – the XC, XE and the Steve McQueen limited edition (based on the XE).
The 2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen edition is limited to just 1000 units worldwide. It is inspired by the original competition-spec TR6 and has been developed in partnership with the McQueen family.
Each unit will be individually numbered, fitted with premium Scrambler accessories as standard and Triumph will also provide a certificate of authenticity with the motorcycle.
Sporting a custom “Competition Green” paint scheme with hand-painted gold lining, gold heritage Triumph logos and Steve McQueen tank graphic, the limited edition model also comes with brushed aluminium Monza cap, brushed stainless steel tank strap and brushed foil knee pads.
The 2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen edition also comes with a longer aluminium swingarm, wide handlebars (with hand guards), flat seat, high-set brushed 2 into 2 exhaust system, aluminium mudguards, side panels and an aluminium bash plate.
Features such as full LED lighting, TFT instrument cluster, illuminated switches, keyless ignition and cruise control is offered with the bike that has a 1200cc twin-cylinder engine putting out 89 BHP at 7250 RPM and 110 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. The gearbox is a 6-speed unit.
Up to 6 riding modes, switchable cornering ABS and optimised cornering traction control are present in the model that features 21-inch wire spoked wheel (90/90-section rubber) upfront and 17-inch rim (wrapped with 150/70-section tyre) at the rear.
Inverted 47 mm gold-coloured Showa forks and Ohlins rear shocks (all are adjustable and have 250 mm travel) make the ride comfortable for people on the 2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen edition.
Meanwhile, the braking duty is done by 320 mm twin discs with Brembo M50 monoblock calipers in the front, and a single 255 mm disc with Brembo 2-piston caliper at the rear.
