The 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 18 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Ahead of the IBW 2019, Triumph India has launched the Rocket 3 at a price of Rs. 18 lakhs (ex-showroom). In overseas markets, the motorcycle is available in 2 variants – Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT but in India only the former has been launched.
The new Triumph Rocket 3 comes with an all-aluminium frame. For suspension duties, you get 47 mm compression and rebound adjustable Showa USD forks with 120 mm travel at the front and a Showa monoshock with 107 mm travel at the rear. It also gets a piggyback reservoir and remote adjuster.
The Triumph Rocket 3 gets Brembo Stylema brakes with twin 320 mm discs up front with 4-piston monobloc callipers and a 300 mm disc at the rear with Brembo M4.32 4-piston callipers. The new Rocket 3 is around 40 kgs lighter than the older model.
Powering this motorcycle is a 2458cc, inline-3 cylinder, DOHC, water-cooled engine that unleashes 167 PS at 6000 RPM and 221 Nm at 4000 RPM. The 6-speed gearbox comes with a slip and assist hydraulic clutch. The Rocket 3 is offered in 2 colours – Phantom Black and Korosi Red and more than 50 riding accessories are being offered too.
The motorcycle is brought down to India via Thailand through FTA and thus it is approximately Rs. 2 lakhs cheaper than the older model.
